Hi,

I have recentley purchased the Connex Echo Board and a 5 tone roger beep to install in my new Uniden PC78LTW, I have a few questions:

1) What color is the Mic. audio wire coming off the Mic. jack?

2) What color is the Mic. xmit wire coming off the Mic. jack?

3) What color is the Mic. GND wire coming off the Mic. jack?

4) Holding the Connex board with the brackets to your stoamch, componets in the up position, which cable is J1 and which cable is J2?

5) I have read a few places and they say don't even hook up the black wire from the Connex board yet the supplied instructions say to.....I'm just trying to do a quality installation and I'd like to know?

6) Which device gets hooked up to Mic Audio first....Connex board or the Roger Beep?...

Thanks for any answers to my questions above.

I'd like to say this looks like a great board and I'm looking forward to learning alot from you guys!!

Thanks

I would like to know the answer to that question also what board wires first or do they wire together at the pins Thanks

I dont know if the wiring the boards wire together at the pins or do you wire the echo board to the pins first and then wire the roger beep the output on the echo ?

Just reverse the pin wiring, like a mirror. I will say, if you had to ask, you shouldnt be installing but ya gotta learn somehow, lol. Becareful with your gun, its very tight with front mount mic jacks.

Tricked again......this thread is 11 years old, lol. IW172, it doesnt matter which board is soldered first for perfoming correctly, just as long as you dont do a hack job, also on the audio wire, use heat shrink not black tape.

thanks z-man 369 i dint know if one board had to follow the other like wire the echo to the pins and then wire the roger beep to the echo out put wires then wire the roger beep to the audio input to the radio your right im new to this just trying learn it looked like it whould be easy to do

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
