I have decided to sell the AEA LA-30 linear I've been tinkering around on.
The amp itself works fine, 15W in = 200W out on my Bird 43A wattmeter.
However, the meters got damaged, and 1 meter is completely dead. The other meter shows the HV correctly, but does not show the grid current. The meters will need to be replaced and the grid trip will need to be adjusted.
Cosmetically, it's not in bad shape, just some minor scratches here and there.
Comes with a good Eimac 3-500Z tube.
Unfortunately, it will need a chimney, as the original chimney that came with the amp was broken.
I'd like to get $300.00 plus actual shipping for the amp. The tube will be boxed and shipped separately.
No trades, please.
Please let me know if this is a fair deal, and if it is not, what a fair price would be for it. I am not trying to rip anyone off, that's why I'm thinking $300.00 wouldn't be too awful of a price. Let me know, thanks!
