There we go. I really like the old radios, they are super cool even if they are not all that powerful. I really want to learn about how they work, how to mod and do repairs. so if anyone knows anything about these radios in the picture I would love to here your thoughts.
Taking a shot in the dark here but the front panel layout is very much like the old Cobra 21, as seen here: 2 used CB Radios (Cobra 21 & Surveyor) | eBay
Maybe open it up and find out what kind of board is inside, then you will have an idea on which way to go with it.

I had a box full of old radios like those...they are good for parts ocassionally or a trip to the dupmster. I opted for the dumpster.
