Does anyone have a part number for replacing the Driver and PA transistors in the 123 series. The Johnson manaul simply lists the in house part numbers.
Thanks,

Dale

W4OP -

These are your best bet: 2SC781 - Driver, and 2SC799 - Final. Use original Toshiba transistors only, They're available from RF Parts, and they'll perform as well or better than the original Johnson pieces. DON'T use aftermarket (ECG, NTE, ect.) replacements, as they are usually short on power gain, and will be a big disappointment. 73s.

Thanks to all. I see the 2SC799 at RF Parts but not the 2SC789.
With that said I bought a parts radio for $5.00 - hopefully it will have a good TX chain.

Tnx guys,

Dale

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
