The taller fiberglass sticks are rated between 1500-2000 watts, depending on the model. The K40 trucker is rated at 7000 watts, although I don't know anyone personally who's ever ran that much power through one.

There is a small capacitor inside each of the standard K-40 antennas if I remember right they cant handle much over 200 watts.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
