i have the chance to buy this radio. Doc. or anyone who has owned a Kenwood know if this is a good to very good radio for a beginner? price may be around $700.00-$900.00. seams high. i think it has all the filters & extras that were available to it. i know it is around 10 or 12 yrs.old. & not to many hours on it. I'll find out what kind of mic. comes extra with it.

Santa,

I think I would pass on it for a couple of reasons. The

price is definitely NOT a bargain! Good grief, they

weren'r worth that new, much less used. The second

reason is that they have reached and exceded their

parts 'life'. Kenwood doesn't keep parts stocked for

them anymore. Offer them $200 if they pay the shipping.
