Kenwood mike adapter cable cost

Anyone have any ideal about how to get around the forty odd dollar cost of the adapter cable for the Kenwood base station microphone. The cost of the Kenwood mike is bad enough, but I have a v71A which requires an adapter cable. Any one have a pinout of the v71A mike jack, the RJ-45 type.

Tnx, a heap, I'm just another old (79) retired guy, I am probably not anywhere near normal or I wouldn't have gotten back into amateur radio after a fifty year break. however, I got the bug again and passed the general test and am now KN4MWQ as of June.

Robert: Congrats and good for you!! Look for me on 3.865 very early many mornings 5:am EDT till around 6:30am EDT... 7:am EDT ... 50.145 on 6m ...I listen 50.125 many times also but anywhere on 6m SSB or CW...NO DIGI stuff...be grt to work you OM
