Kenwood TR-7950 Tone Unit Needed

I purchased a used Kenwood TR-7950 at the local hamfest this weekend. I have been out of the hobby for quite a while, so I thought it would be a good unit to get me back on the air. So far, so good. However, I discovered that it does not have a tone unit in it. Options?
1. Buy a new tone unit?
2. Buy a used tone unit?
3. Buy a used mobile rig that already has a tone unit?

I really don't want to dump a bunch of money into the Kenwood, especially if it would be cheaper in the long run to buy a new/used 2m mobile rig.

Suggestions/recommendations? :confused1:

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
