I just picked up a nice Kenwood ts450 in great shape....but it didn't come with a manual or microphone... Does anyone know of a online source for a operation manual on this particular radio?.... Although, I did order the Heil "hmm" mic. with the dual hc 4 & 5 element hand microphone last week to DX with and try my luck on this rig... So please post any comments or info..about this rig...73's

I use the #5 element for most of my rag chewing. I have found though when on 75 meter the prefered is the #4 element. All I can figure is 75 meter is loaded with a bunch of O.M. and they couldnt hear a nuclear bomb go off in their front yard so the highs probally make it easier to listen <img src=http://users.joplin.com/dutch64804/posticon24.gif ALT=":lmao">

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
