Hello i'm fixing to buy a kenwood ts450s hf rig from a friend of mine so I can get on the hf bands after I upgrade my ham lisence from technichian class to general class. The antenna i'm looking at to purchase is a n9hrp g5rv that works on 10 thru 80 meters it has 31 ft of 450 ohm ladder line that terminates to a pl259 connector at the end what I was wondering about this antenna is that should I buy a 1.1 balun to run on it to keep the rf energy off the shield of the coax feed line i'm going to use or should I just use a air wound choke made of 9 to 10 turns of coax feed line right after the pl259 connection of the antenna. As far as antenna tunners go I been looking at a ldg at-200 pro automatic tuner or a mfj 949e manual tuner.Which antenna tunner would be best to use with this setup?I am on a budget that why i'm looking at purchaseing the g5rv to work the hf bands.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
