A friend of mine gave me a Kenwood VB-2530 amplifier. He said it was in good working condition, so I hooked it up to my radio. However, when I go to transmit, instead of the "on air" light lighting up, the "protection" light flashes instead.

I was just wondering if anyone knew of a link to the manual for this amp. I've done a Google search, plus a search of the Kenwood site, and have come up empty. I'm hoping someone here might know of such a link.

Any info / links / comments / suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
