A great customer experience that I wanted to relate to you all...

When the TX and RX was no longer existent on my rig, after checking everything else out I determined that it was the antenna. (5' Firestik II) No continuity from base to tip. Sent an e-mail to Firestik asking if there's was anything they could do for me...I explained to them that I had it "about 5 years" and I had no reciept. They promptly replied - send it to our factory for repair or replacement. Since I was going to be in Phoenix anyway I decided to stop by the factory. Without hesitation, they handed me a new one and I was on my way. Keep in mind this antenna is on a trail rig that sees a lot of off-road abuse, including one roll over with this antenna (probably what led to its demise!).

There are still some things made with pride in America by companies that care about customer service!<img src=http://users.joplin.com/dutch64804/posticon25.gif ALT=":25">

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
