Latest info on Elecraft KX3 shipping date

Wayne sent out this latest information on the availability of the new Elecraft KX3 portable HF/2m transceiver:

Hi all,

I wanted to let you know that our field test effort was delayed due to
production ramp-up on our selected DSP IC. It's a great chip (fast,
yet very energy-efficient) but it took the manufacturer longer to get
them into stock than they'd originally stated. I'm sure we're not the
only ones who have been impacted by this. In any case, the first batch
is coming in this week.

Fortunately we had enough samples of the DSP to build KX3s for the
engineering team and a few other staff members. We're taking advantage
of the manufacturing delay by improving firmware and getting a jump on
the option modules. We're also getting on the air as much as possible
(we can't help it--this radio is totally off charts on the "fun"
scale). Keep an ear out for us.

Our best estimate for taking orders is late November/early December,
and shipping in late January.
