From my understanding the ones that are being imported now have SP1A and TopGun modulator installed from the factory along with the Blue Display. There is older model that has blue display as well.

Did they fix the RX on these things with the new version? The one I have is horribly noisy.

I am not aware of any Reciever design changes at this point.

why would you need both sp1a and top gun ???



i would like a sp1a for my ranger. but havent found anyone that has one installed on a ranger and how they like it or how it turned out.



maybe i dont fully understand what a top gun modulator does.

No I am finding out not all of them do but there is a batch out there that does. There is also a Conversion kit for older ones to change them to Blue.

Still working ong etting them inside pics up.

It seems none so far have the SP1a like I was told. But they do have topgun in them. The pics I got they looks nice. But be aware some of the 257's that are blue do not have the top gun some are same radio as the old and some are newer. More than one version out there. Still working on getting these pictures hosted.
