I've scoured the internet (and this forum) for an answer to my question.

Question is: what is the wiring pinout for a Silver Eagle to the radio?

I am well aware of the stock mic and qualities, but I want to try this mic as I've modified Silver Eagle and would like to see how it plays.

According to my note, what I had settled on that seemed to work was:
1- white
2 - black
3 - red
4 - n/c
5 - shield*
6 - n/c

* apparently I did a version with the shield and blue on pin 5 as well, but my cryptic handwriting doesnt give me any clue of this has worked or not. I appreciate any helpful comments.--

I answered my own question. Pinout is:
1- white
2 - black
3 - red
4 - n/c
5 - shield/blue
6 - n/c

I've also experience 'channel jump' when using this setup previously (channel jumps down 1 each keydown). I put a .01mF cap across the transmit to see if that help reduce the issue. tx and up/down seem to be on same pin so maybe this will help.

Version 3 does the same thing with various microphones.

The only power mic that I tried that did not cause the radio to jump back one channel was an Aries 50043. It's made by ProComm. ProComm also sells the same mic under the ProComm brand. They are just a tad on the raspy side if mic gain is too high, but for the money they are pretty dang good.

Read some where caps could be changed to smooth it some.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
