I have one of these radios i purchased to give as a housewarming gift to a friend. i think this is a very nice radio with a super reciever in it. it seems to receive better than my rci 2980 wx. i was wondering if anyone knows how many amps the internal power supply puts out. it would be nice if you could run a small amp off from it. being so small i'm sure it dosn't put out much more amperage than needed to run the radio. anyone else using one of these radios? how do you like it?

i had the first generation garbage, it had quite a few problems with parts taking a crap for no reason. i hear the second gens like you got your hands on are much better.

I havn't had any problems yet but havn't had it very long. i hope it works well for like i said it is gonna be a gift.
