Magnum S9: No TX on SSB, just roger beep

Hi all
Am brand new member to this forum. Bought used S9 AM/FM/SSB, cool radio but no tx on ssb, just roger bleep at end. Not alot of info on this radio here in Ireland so could really do with some advice from any of you guys out there. Thnx Ciarán.

I'm assuming you tried speaking into the mike? There's no carrier on SSB, so the meter won't deflect until you talk.

Use another receiver to see if the transmitter is working.

Thanks alot Beetle, that has helped me resolve the problem along with a good twist of the mike gain knob, Dohh!!!!!!!

Thats what I was thinking when he said he just keyed the radio LOL! Well that was an easy fix
