Midland 79-290 -more power?

Hi,



I just picked up a Midland 79-290 and I really like it. Only problem is that is seems to not like my amp too much, because the SWR shoots up over 3 when the power is put to it. I checked the amp with my Delta force and this did not happen. Anyway.....



I want to get more power from it, seeing as I will have to run it barefoot. Also, I've been going over the clarifier mod and I think I have everything covered but any suggestions are appreciated.

Jake, do a search in the mods section of the forum, There has been a power mod posted for that radio. Give it a shot and let me know.
