20+ years ago I bought a brand new Cobra 148 GTL and had a local guy add some frequencies to it. All he did was add a 6 position rotary knob to the side which has several wires soldered to the back of the board along with a resistor and perhaps even resistor in the rotary dial (couldn't see well as he siliconed it).
It's been so long I don't recall if I have 6 x 40 channels here, what frequencies they are, etc. Does anybody know what this kit is called? I'd consider replacing this with a HAM radio ... any idea how much this CB is worth?
