Sorry for sounding dumb, but what caused the modulation to behave that way momentarily? Example random figures.. when you started to talk into mic the pep hit 150W for a fraction of a section on your first spoken word, then the needle swept back down and bounced from min deadkey to for example 80W max even when speaking loud.
