Moonraker 4 by Avanti ???

Just ran across a set on craigslist.
Model # is AV140 new in box never opened..
Can get for $150.00 plus shp.
How does this antenna stack up against the maco 4 version?????
I have never really talked on the flatside...Is there a lot of activity there????

good antenna had one back in the day best antenna i ever had,,, 150 is a dam good deal,,,,,,at 35 feet i talked all over the us and a whole lot of the world

The difference in the Avanti and Maco? You can get parts for one of them ,,,,,,

I'd flip the Avanti on eBay and use the profits for something better.

You can still find or fabricate parts, but might be difficult to find or pricey. Actually, for that price, I think I'd put it up and use it. Just swap out the nuts and stuff for better quality.
