need help..VX-8R locked

hello...
i have a problem for my yaesu vx-8r. device is totally locked with "key symbol" and showing only one dot. i can't press anything, even when i remove the battery and attached it again still displaying the same problem
i really need help to this problem.

Try holding the power button in for a few seconds till it beeps. Although when the keypad is locked you can still read the display. I have never seen a key symbol on the display. Have you tried a full reset?

You might try calling Yaesu's technical support. They just might be able to assist you with one of their products.

I don't know how Yaesu unlocks, but when I bought my Wouxun commercial dual band radio it came locked, and I had to hook it to my PC and use the software provieded to unlock it before I could use it. You may need to contact Yaesu. On mine when I lock it I simply hold the lock button down for 3 seconds and it beeps then unlocks the radio.

Have you tried a hammer? Lol jk.
I am very sure friendly techs at yaesu can assist you over the tele or email.
