Question, I have had a PAL A1 VFO for many years and have used it with a Cobra 138 and it has worked fine. However i have a few Cobra 138's and
gave one to friend to use and go another Pal VFO A1 although this one is much newer or appears newer. It is now called a PAL VFO PLUS now
and it might have been modified as it has a switch with two crystals on the switch a 8.5590 and a 8.8590. My original A1 crystal is a 6.000?
I am sure that i can hook it up in place of my original one and test it out with my freq counter but my hope is someone out here might know if
it will work the same? From how i understand how they work the new one will be 2.5590 MHZ higher than the old one or 2.8590 mhz higher depending
on what crystal is switched on. Any help would be appreciated!
