Hey all GREAT forum appears to be a very informative and friendly forum. Recently got a galaxy 949 hooked up with a 102 whip on a jeep yj wrangler. In the furture I plan on getting a kicker in the 200-250 watt range, will my factory alt. be ok or will I need to upgrade ? Thanks in advance.

No keep the stock alternator...250-300watts...you are looking at a 2-2290 amp...
I build an 2-2290amp called a AM275V...
TO hook up the amp? You hook up 8AWG powercable from the battery to the amplifier....pos and negitive both...
and a coax jumper from the radio to the amp..then the coax to the antenna goes to the amp as well....
