New Icom 7100/BHi mobile install

Last night I finished off my mobile install. I had been gathering all the bits and pieces the last couple months.

The box and antenna tuner are under the passenger seat. What you see in the pic is the had unit and a BHI noise cancelling speaker in the cubby under the stereo. Not sure I'm in love with where the head unit is but it is stable and within reach.

First contact was Australia from Washington State - albeit his station did the heavy lifting. 125 in Australia, here's to you mate!IMG_0618.jpg

How did you mount the base of the holder to the dash?

I'm looking to mount mine in my little truck soon so I'm looking into different mounting options.

I wouldn't trust a suction cup or most double stick tape cause that radio head looks heavy.

It is pretty light. Near close to the weight of my iPhone 16 Pro Max. I started with an articulating arm but ended up with heavy duty velcro. I'm going to adjust it to be angled towards me but it is just right.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
