New ICOM IC-7200

Interesting looking rig. I wonder if that is supposed to be a replacement for the 718, or ??? It almost looks like something that you would install on a boat to me. Anyone have any info on this unit?

From the specs at Universal, it looks like it's a DSP rig and has dual passband tuning as well, so it should be a fair step up from the 718 as a receiver.

I'm curious if it has any TX EQ or TX width settings in there.

The price is the big one, I'm not sure what to guess really, maybe $1200...and then where does that land it vs the 746 Pro? $900 would be a better target, line it up with the FT-450 which out specs the 718 pretty handily now.

For regular field ops, the ruggedized and sealed chassis will be a plus.
