new optima mk3's come with new style mic

anyone know what this new mic is that is coming only with the optima mk3's purchased from yeticom??

As of 28-05-2014 the Yeticom Optima is being shipped with a new larger more robust mic with better audio see above pic of the new mic ,

the old mic has been discontinued by Yeticom

These are only available on yeticom optima's sold by our New Zealand dealer (Mike) and are done to all optima shipped after those dates

we do not sell these mic's separately

It looks to have the stiff plastic feeling cord. I do not like that at all. I'll stick with my Kenwoodish clone mic.

I use a Ranger 198 noise canceling mic or my cobra BlueTooth all in one BlueTooth headset.
