new setup help

hi to all
i have a rci 2950dx and i am going to set it up at home as a base station
i am thinkin of havin a A99as have little room to put it and dont want peple lookin at it to much!!!!
also power, am going to run it on a 12a supply??
will this setup work ok ????

I guess "work OK" depends on what you want it to do It will certainly work. There are better antennas out there and better radios...but if it does what you want it to do, then it will certainly work OK. When the propogation is right, you don't need much at all to talk around the world! That setup will also let you talk to locals. Just remember that "higher is better" with antennas. Also don't skimp on the feedline if you're going to have run of any decent length.
