Got one of these radios new off amazon this week. I have not had one in years and im hearing the audio limiter is now different on these boards. Im wanting to cut the audio limiter loose and let it swing and not touch anything else. Any help highly appreciated.

NEVER clip a limiter. This causes bleedover so your radio doesn't concentrate all its power within the channel.
its under a piece of sheild on the solder side, but clipping makes it sound like ass. what i did was take a 470 ohm resistor in line with it after lifting one end, and found the release delay cap which i think is 100uh if i remember correctly and put in something like a 22uh i think. not the biggest screamer on the market but they are ok like this
