I recently saw this video... Galaxy Freq counter mod 1kc to 100hz.avi - YouTube

However in this video he is modifying an EPT210014A Galaxy Radios DX88HL Service Manual

I have an EPT210014C, which is the same board used inside the FC390 and FC357 Galaxy Radios DX88HL Service Manual

So since the FC390/357 are both 6 digit counters with 24 pins feeding the display, and the one inside the radio has 24 pins (with 4 unused?) Then I figure the same thing could be done here

the Galaxy DX 88HL (which I have) uses this display... you can see the 4 unused pins... Galaxy Radios DX88HL Service Manual

the FC390/357 uses this display... Galaxy Radios FC347 Service Manual Galaxy Radios FC347 Service Manual

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
