no receve

i have a cobra 19 ultra it keys up but no receive the speaker is good i just don't have receive can any one tell me whats wrong

do you have the rf gain knob full to the right?

it doesn't have a rf gain its a cobra 19 ultra not a utra ll or a ultra lll its just a plane cobra 19 ultra with a squelch and a volume pa and a channel 9 switch

my friend i think he keyed it up with a bad antenna and blew a diode or a final

take mic plug apart and check to see that all wires are in place. The radio is keying up so I highly doubt the final is bad , did you try the PA ? you can plug ex.speaker into the PA plug , if you get audio out of that ? chances are your audio chip is OK , if not ? good chance the chip is fried and needs replaced. Try a few things first and let us know . good luck

yea i took the plug apart its all intact um i see like two bars when i key up but no audio i need to know were what the audio chip or the audio diode is located or what it looks like last time this happened it happened to a unidon grant
that i had and it was a diode and a three legged looking element looking thing
