noise chopper or noise clipper

Has any one used a V10-06088 VALOR NC100 CB RADIO NOISE SUP.If so did it cut down on the recive very much

Yes I have used one and YES they will knock the RX down terribly.Don't waste your hard earned money on these!
All they are is a gimmick.They will "cut" some noise out but they also "cut" your RX too.Too much to be beneficial anyways.

I've used one also, but found it didn't hurt my receive as much as it helped me get out.

BUT...

I was driving a Sterling truck and because of static and interference, we were not able to get out or receive more than a mile...sometimes 6 tenths of a mile. In my case, it helped a lot. If you are getting out and receiving, I have my doubts that it would not affect your receiving ability. In other words...I think it will kill your receive.

It will kill your RX.

What problem do you have that you need one of these?
Ignition noise?
Alternator whine?

fuel pump nosies

i guess i am going to have to use a coke on the fuel pump

Basically it was a signal reducer similar to the old RF Attenuation button. It was a gimmick but Valor sold quite a few of these things when I worked for them.
