Were they a solid radio from the factory and do they take well to a good tune? One of our local drivers has ran one for the better part of ten years and it is the best sounding radio I or anyone else locally has ever heard. I have the chance to buy one and am prepared to pay whatever it takes to own it. Looking for a little advice/insight.

Thanks
Tim

The Northstar line was hit & miss.If you got a good one, they were as good as their Galaxy equivalent (some believe a good Galaxy is bad), most seemed to be miss though.

Thank you. Not what I was hoping to hear but thats why I asked. I offered him $300 for his radio but he won't sell and I don't blame him. I will try my luck with the other I have found for sale and hope for the best. Funny how you can only use one at a time but need as many as you can hide from the wife.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
