Well, I installed my radio and Davemade M200 the other day. It was sounding ok except for the fact that when I turned the mic. gain over half way i'd get a high pitch squel coming from the amp.
I fixed it today. I took a peice of wire and put it thru one of the holes in the grill of my D104. Ran the wire thru the loops in the mic cord, put a O connector at the end of the and hooked the O to the screw where the radio screws into the mounting bracket.
Now I can turn the mic gain in the radio and the mic wide open with out any squel, Although I only run the mic gain on the mic @ 5 and radio wide open.
Im now a happy camper. If anyone else has this problem try grounding your mic.
Thanx
