Try using your wide filter on AM for receive.
Question, how are we to know what this radio sounds like? all we hear is pre-audio stage of the radio.
Maybe have someone else do a video gate for a real world example.

I suppose I'll have to wait to hear it in DX and decide for myself how it sounds, nothing sounds better than hearing yourself talk.
What ever i know you will never will be happy so as long as i know that its all good... There is a member here 985chicago that just rolled a short gate that he is going to email me and i will post it up ....
