I was just looking for Ameritron mods and seen this video.
A few things dont make sense to me.
Supposedly its putting out 3000w and he's putting 200w into a 3cx1500
When he hits the foot switch right at the starting point I indexed the video at 32:31, with no drive, the grid current goes up to 20ma, that dont make sense.
Then he hollers into the mic with the radio keyed and it only shows 500ma of plate current at 3000w?
Then he puts 350w into it?
I'm just lost. Anyone else?
to top it off after bagging on it for 10 minutes he just shuts it off screaming hot without letting the fan cool the tube down for a few minutes first.
