A friend of mine has one of these and it has a black face and is in a silver case...

Does anyone run one of these or maybe knows what transistors is in this amp ?..

Most of those Palomars will have 2 - SD1446's in them. Those are rated at 70W @ 50mhz.

I have seen some of the older ones use MRF455's, which is a 60W device.

~Cheers~

10-4, wonder what kind of dk watts and swings watts it would do ?.....

And how would it do been used as a driver going into a HD with 2879s in it ?..

Maybe you should ask your friend what's in it. 4 screws and off slides the top, it doesn't get any easier.

Yupp I agree and your friend can tell you what dead key hes seeing aswell as PEP power. this would be the easiest way to get any and all your answers it doesnt get anymore convenient than that.

Remove the 4 front screws, the front face does not come off BUT, you can move it 1/8 of an inch to the heat sink. Then just slide the bottom plate out the front. Bingo.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
