Thanks for that tip!
His first name is 'Grant' 101/43unit045 and the conditions are improving on the West Coast. I have him at 5/5 - 5/7 ATM on 27.565mhz/USB. Will be standing by for conditions to improve. Talked to him for a few minutes before QSB started.
First time I got New Guinea in the log.
Much appreciated, Hutch!
He is a great operator....he and I have had a few Qso from Texas to Australia ....odd conditions some days back. he was getting into Texas long path at 8-9am cst here, that's 2am or so in the morning his time, I noted him spotted on dx27.net cluster working out of 101 a day or so ago. This afternoon a was talking with a mobile in British Columbia and heard my name and good morning? Returned the call and it was Grant! He is on holiday/vacation. It is my 3rd contact into 101 but the cool thing is situations leading to this one! He and I have exchanged a couple email so I'm looking forward to some pictures from 101 division...that country is one of those places I always dreamed of visiting?
