Former ARRL Headquarters staffer Bill Smith, W0WOI (ex-K0CER, W1DVE, W5USM), of Jefferson, Iowa, died on June 1. An ARRL Life Member, he was 78 and had been a radio amateur and League member since 1952. He served on the ARRL staff from 1967 to 1974 and was the editor of QST's “World Above 50 Mc.” column, succeeding Sam Harris, W1FZJ. In 1967, Smith was among the founders (with W0CUC and W0ENC) ...

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
