Davemade 32, it's real easy, by the heatsink, and to the front left of the final, you'll see a jumper... in a Corbra 29 it's JP-6, I think it's the same in your radio. Solder in a 1000 micro-farad electrolytic capacitor, negative lead towards the final. This allows AC (audio) to pass, while blocking DC (carrier). Then, on the back of the board, from these two connection points, add a 1/4 watt 68-120 ohm resistor. The resistance here will vary the carrier. Make sure there's no shorts, and you're good to go, you can also add a switch across these two points, that would function as a hi/low carrier switch. DO NOT by any means turn the slug to lower the power, I won't go into why, as I just got off work and have been doing this stuff all day, but it's not good to do, and will limit the top end as well. (commonly referred to as swing, or peak power) You should actually tune that slug for maximum. With the stock final, it will probably be near the top of it's tuning range. Take care, and hope that I helped.

cool got it down.

midnight, I tied that was alos, but all it seemed to do is bring the whole power down.. 1.5 carrier but then stayed there under modulation. This way I still have the forward drive at a 1.5 (adjustable) carrier.

Thanks for the help, although I only had a 470uf avail at the time, not sure if I need more uf's for this radio or not. Works just fine
