Hi guys,

I made a diagram for a guy, but thougth it was also usefull to drop here..
Its about what height would do in aspect to gain and take off angle for horizontal antennas.

All though the antenna used is a 3el F-yagi made by us, it is also more or less "true" for every other HORIZONTAL beam antenna used on 27 Mhz.

As you can see... although the gain slightly rises (due to the additional ground gain)
it is only limited from say a 6..7 meters heigth (18/21 feet)

The take off angle does drop but also shows a "less rapid" drop as soon as more heigth is added.

I hope it is of use for someone....

Kind regards,

Henry

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
