I don't know if this helps or not......I was cruzin' the web the other day and found this.......I just bought a FC-347 wan't to hook it up in a early style Cobra 148gtl......I haven't got it yet, but I hope it's an easy hookup..........73's

[CB COBRA 148 GTL SSB AND]

Please help me with my Texas Ranger FC390 digital frequency counter.



Can you please help me with my Texas Ranger FC390 install on my Cobra 148 GTL SSB ( new release not the old model ) I cant figure out where to sadder it even with the schematics, Im pretty sure that I don't have the proper instructions. I have some pictures that i can e-mail.

I finally got my FC-347 wired up to Cobra 148gtl. Instructions only showed how to wire up to a older cobra 148gtl and a SuperStar SS3900.....I wired it up like instructions showed but It read 45.000 so I thought i did something wrong.......I clicked on link above and did the Jumber mod inside of freq counter.....It fixed the problem and works fine.....I wonder why they don't say anything about that in the instructions, Also, what is the difference between the FC-347 to the FC-390, It looks the same... 73's all :roll:

yeah my 347 did the same thing, i didn't know about the little dap of solder trick then, so I came up with a "formula" for figuring out the freq. I needed it since I had the Extra channels mod....worx gr8 now!
