power mike with channel up/down?

my new commanche base needs a louder mike, but di like to keep the channel up/down on teh mike if possible.



its a funky 6 pin design, is it possible to get a power mike with the channel feature?

I don't know of any that you can buy with the buttons built in, but they can be installed by a competent person. The Astatic 575 M6b can easily have the buttons added to the top, and this is a great mic. Volume and tone controls. I put a power mic on my radio but just left the buttons off, but that is my personal prefernce.

ive been looking at that astatic 575, I think HnY has it for $36.95, where would I buy the connector for this radio, would radio shack have it?



and could you enlighten me as to the mic wiring?

H&y will have the plug too. They would wire it for you far an extra charge. If not it wires the same as the six plug RCI.

The only aftermarket mic I have found with the Up/Down buttons already there is RF Limited. They have a couple models with buttons, the one I was looking at was the EC 2018 U/D.

It can be done,did it to a rk56 on my hr2510 worked fine (toggle)was'nt pretty,but did the job.
