would lack of amps (power supply) be causing me to be breaking up on SSB
was told today that i was breaking up while talking skip, they told me to turn down my mic gain, that seemed too help.. i'm running a 12 amp... radio is pushing about 50+ watts....

You got it bud, To much audio can also make a radio start to clip but Im willing to bet its that supply you have taxing. That Supply is most likely 10amps constant and 12 amps max surge in short bursts. Your taxing the supply and its kicking in and out. Keep in mind when buying power supplies that you need to notice the continuous or constant amperage ratings and the surge or maximum amperage rating. get yourself a 35 - 52 amp supply and leave plenty of breathing room to spare and it will last damn near forever with the extra overhead amperage that will be there if you need it ;)

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
