Power supply

Thinking of making a power supply to run a mobile amp from the house needs to be at least 15 amp what are the components that would ultimately determine the amperage available. Ie transformer? rectifier? filtering capacitors and or chokes? resistor wattage values?

Hey Weatherman take a look at my power supply project I built a few years ago http://forum.worldwidedx.com/viewtopic.php?t=1975 . I have the schematic posted for it in the photo album link. Maybe this might be of some help with your project. I have alot of spare power supply parts so let me know if you need anything in particular.
