President George

Hey there guys.....does anybody know anything about the President George....Looks like a pretty good radio. I like the fact that it has rf gain and the echo. How much do they go for? Looked at the president site, but no prices. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Prodigal Son,

I have a President George and I like it a lot. If you get one, as with any tuned up radio, you should run a hot wire from the battery or a hot stud in the dash to power it. I used 10 gauge wire from a stereo shop. The reason I'm telling you this is I tried to use the existing power wire provided by the truck manufacturer and it just wasn't heavy enough. Once I gave the radio proper power everything was great. Back to the radio, as I said I am very satisfied with the one I have. Easy to run and figure out. Nice display. It isn't loud like a Galaxy though, but I do use mine on sideband quite a little and it sure works nice there lots of good reports anyway. Contact me if I can help you out.

Get the Air Mail.. and make sure they get the tracking option.. Petri Peltola didnt tell me bout fedex or buying the tracking number.. sooo i must wait till the USPS gets around to delivering my radio. Prices change all the time btw... depends on exchange rate. =)
