President HR2510 not TXing... falls into AUTO SQUELCH

well I installed the new replacement driver... no luck...

NO POWER out... and when I key the mic the receive gets quiet on USB and LSB... then the receive comes back on CW... FM NEVER gets quiet...

it's not really loosing it because it still hears fine when something breaks the squelch

just a little background info...

purchased this radio and around 2 hours after firing it up the MRF477 final stopped working... I promptly installed a MRF455 final as that is a common swap

everything worked... then a few hours later the TX died again and the driver was found to be faulty(low hFE, and slight short from C to E)

anyways it does not work... and I am at a loss

interesting thing is the radio does transmit... my friend that lives a 1/2 mile from my house can hear me on sideband... quiet but it still sounds good... my other friend lives about 3 miles away and he can hear me as well... just REALLY faint... again.. nothing on the inline meter

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
