Can someone please help me. I bought a a President Andrew J and the radio is in excellent condition. I looked inside to see if it’s been messed with and the only thing I see is the L5 Can has the wax removed from the top. Can somebody tell me what this L5 can is for, thank you for your help

L5 is a 455KHz IF transformer just after the 2nd mixer in the receiver section.
Did you mean L15, which is the VCO coil, right behind the PLL chip? That one needs wax to keep it frequency stable.
