Problem with Ranger 2950

Im hoping someone can help me out. My Ranger 2950 just died. Was working fine for years, and turned it on last night and got nothing. Well, practically nothing. The LCD on the front is totally dead. Nothing happens when I key the mic. But when it is turned on I can hear a very faint white noise like sound coming out of the speaker. It is drawing a bit of power when its on, cuz the fan on my power supply speeds up ever so slightly when I turn the radio on.

I tried it on a different power supply just to rule that out and there was no change.

Any suggestions on what part might be bad, or how to wake it up out of this sleep?

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
