Well finally got my Radio installed and slowly learning about the Ranger2950Dx since I have been out of loop for about 15 year's. Does the RF knob control the output of SSB ? I got the radio from Walcott CB shop online and it does 2-10 Watts am/FM mode and SSB mode it does 25 Watts although supposedly it has been set to 45 Watts pep. So does the mic control set the power of SSB or is it the RF power control for output?? Just curious, hope it doesn't sound like a Stupid question, thanks!!

It should let you control SSB output from very little to what ever the max wattage is. As far as your numbers, unless you have a true peak reading meter you probably won't see 45 watts.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
